A note from our founder
I spent years on the licensing side of theatre, watching great writers wait years for a royalty check, if one ever came. When I started Dramallama, we flipped that. We commission our playwrights up front to write for the students who will perform their work, and we ask working theatre teachers to test every script and write our curriculum.
Every title we publish has a real person behind it, someone who wrestled with a character until it felt true. Your students deserve that. So do our writers. That’s our promise, and I’m putting my name on it.
Every Dramallama play and lesson is the original work of a real, credited author, and we hold every writer to the U.S. Copyright Office’s standard for human authorship. Writers can use everyday tools along the way, but the creative choices (the story, the characters, the voice) are theirs.
