The story

A group of teens try to win a bet against their parents to go one week without their cell phones or any social media. They end up learning more about themselves than they ever thought.

Producing it

Cast17 actors, and the ensemble can grow as large as you like. As written, 8 female and 8 male roles. You can change lines, roles and genders to fit your students.

SetFour family areas, then a park, BBQ, bedroom and kitchen.

TechNo special effects or period costumes. Plan for lots of cell phones, a doorbell and alarm sound cues, a baseball announcer voice-over, and a skateboard fall that needs a spotter.

For your scene-stealersFour families share a split stage, and the mirrored dinner scenes put the whole ensemble on at once. Every role speaks, and parents and teens share the stage.
