Originally from West Texas, Charlie Gardner is a writer, actor, and director living in Dallas, Texas. Charlie’s plays have been produced across the U.S. His plays, The Pugilist, Howdy Human Female, Backyard Apocalypse and Little Sweet Animals all garnered DFW Theater Critics Forum Awards for “Outstanding New Play” and Backyard Apocalypse was nominated for an American Theatre Critics Association Steinberg New Play Award and lost. Charlie is a lapsed member of the Dramatist Guild and the Playwright’s Center and was honored as the 2018 Distinguished Alum of the Sam Houston State University School of Theatre.
