Stephen is best known for his cult, musical parody, The Bardy Bunch: The War of the Families Partridge and Brady, which played at The Mercury Theater in Chicago in 2016 and Off-Broadway at the Theatre at St. Cement’s in 2014. He is the bookwriter of I Want to Know What Love Is, a jukebox musical featuring the hits of Foreigner and Five Golden Rings: A Greeting Card Channel Holiday Musical. Stephen is also the co-bookwriter of the bio-musical Love Goddess, The Rita Hayworth Musical.
Stephen’s short film Love and Near-Death premiered at the Hollywood Comedy Shorts Film Festival in 2024 and has gone on to screen at the Atlanta Women’s Film Festival (Winner – Best Romantic Comedy), The Ashland Film Festival among many others. His short film Boy-Next-Door premiered at HBO’s U.S. Comedy Arts Festival and has screened at over a dozen festivals, including the Austin Film Festival, Hollywood Shorts (Winner – Final Draft Award), WorldFest (Gold Remi Winner – Comedy), and Big Bear Lake Film Festival (Winner – Audience Award). His script 9/11 Kevin was honored with a staged reading at the Nantucket Film Festival in 2005 and his screenplays Chasing Disaster and My Dead Dad’s Musical Extravaganza are currently in development.
Stephen is a graduate of NYU’s Dramatic Writing Program and is a proud member of Dramatists Guild of America.
